Manchester welcomes 4th Paralympic World Cup

In the first major competition in Paralympic sport since Beijing, Manchester England plays host to the 4th Paralympic World Cup. With 174 medallists from Beijing competing the stage is set for WR beating performances as top class athletes from around the globe take the first step on their journey towards London 2012.

This international sporting event, which has been hosted by Manchester annually each May, is attracting larger crowds year on year. 2008 saw particularly good spectator support for the Swimming and Basketball events.

Following the record crowds in Beijing and the record breaking performances which raised the profile of Paralympic Sport worldwide, Manchester is looking forward to larger crowds and increased media attention. With potential world beating performances by Britain’s Jody Cundy at the Velodrome and the amazing Oscar Pistorius aka ‘blade runner’ on the athletics track, and tickets at only £3 this is a unique opportunity for everybody to experience a world class sporting event and have a great day out. Be Part of it ! - Don’t miss out on this great sporting showcase.
